SM Bus Controller

Hi,

I got Latitude E6410 with Win 7 OS. I downgraded with XP. But the problem is the drivers. I see that SM Bus Controller have yellow mark in device managers.

I am not sure which are the drivers I should get for that. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Cncp

Make sure you installed the Dell notebook system software and the chipset drivers (the Intel ones and  any memory card drivers - the latter, probably Ricoh).

Thank you for the reply. Yes I did install Dell notebook system software and the chipset drivers, but still I have the problem.

Also I did not find drivers Broadcom USH, Contacted SmarCard too. I am not sure what to do.

    Thanks,

Drivers for your computer should be at www.support.dell.com.  Enter your machine's laptop to go to the page and select the appropriate OS.

Broadcom USH is the Dell ControlVault - for my computer it is the ControlVault w/o fingerprint reader.  I used R244399 which came with my computer but a later version is probably available on the Dell site.  Down load the driver and unzip it.  This is one you update by going to device manager, right clicking on Broadcom USH and select update driver.  Go to the folder when you unzipped the driver and see if it installs.

Contacted SmartCard is another one you update by right clicking on it and selecting Update.  In this case I let it search the internet and the computer and it found it ok.

SM Bus Controller is the chipset drivers for your computer.  In my case it was R257446 from the Dell site.

    Good luck!
