Is it possible to disable the click feature on the mouse touchpad. In otherwords to only be able to left click with the left button?
I read in another message that some one disabled it ,but for the life of me I can not find the place to do that in mouse properties.
Thanks
Gene

Just to try and help others who are also complaining about the touchpad. I opened mouse properties in control panel this AM and the verion of my driver was changed from 7.5.7 to 5.9 which has the ability to disable the touchpad. Now that is good but I am not sure that I know how it was possible for Dell to change that driver without my permission. I did click a link today to check for updated drivers at Dell but it said "No updates available."

Is it possible to disable the touchpad and still use a mouse? I own an Inspiron 4100 (XP home) with a "crazy" pointer. I have tried for a while to solve the problem, but I am giving up and want to use the mouse only. Unfortunately, it seems to be the same drivers for the touchpad & the mouse
Thanks
Hervé
