Did you install the ChipSet drivers.

As far as the wireless if you are using WPA on the router you need the WiFi rollup package from MS.

Also what security system are you using?? WEP, WPA or NONE/Nothing. If nothing XP by default will not connect to a unsecure wireless connection. You have to go into the properties of the wireless connection and select Connect even though this wireless signal is unsecure, or something similar. If you are using a security system, WEP or WPA you need to type in the KEY to connect.

And for the USB what are you connecting to these ports?? And please don't say anything, tell me what you are connecting.

That could be most of the problem. All Dell notebook USB ports do NOT put out enough power to properly power most things so try connecting it to a external power source first. Have you tried a USB mouse in one or both of the ports and does the mouse work???

This is why I needed what you are trying to connect. Just saying NOTHING is recognized doesn't mean the ports aren't working. It all depends on what and how you are connecting it.

USB - Ipod windows doesn't see that it is connected through the usb port but it powers it.

wireless - I have wep enabled and put in the password. I'm showing that my computer is connected but the internet won't connect.
