Does RM and ItemPoint support VMFS datastores?


All

I am trying to figure out if ItemPoint and ReplicationManager will work in a VMware environment with Exchange databases residing on VMFS datastores, or if it has to be RDM volumes to be working.

I have not been able to find this information anywhere.

    • Replication Manager 5.5.1 Product Guide clearly suggests that "Microsoft Exchange is not supported on VMware virtual disks (VMDKs)"
    • ItemPoint should index/restore any VSS mounted replica regardless of the volume type.

    NO, item Point checks for RM / Appsync VSS Created Replicas because of OEM Agreements
