The issue at this point likely resides with the PowerDVD software and the fact that HDCP is not supported over 2560x1600 on the current gen Nvidia 8800GTX/GTS cards.

I'm planning on buying a 3007WFP also : but when i've read you troubles i'm reluctant to buy it. 

I knew that you can not play a HD or BD DVD at 2550x1600 res, but not even at the normal 1920x1080res also ?

 

Its got nothing to do wiht the monitor, its the hardware you have it hooked up to. I think none of the current gen Nvidia cards have HDCP enabled over dual-link (the same probably goes for ATI too, but not sure). So if you want HDCP to work, hook up your 3007WFP thru the single link and run it at 1280x800, and you will get HDCP enabled content to play.

 

 

Does the new 27" LCD monitor need a dual DVI connection like the 30" ?

If not maybe this monitor (27") would be better to view HDCP movie's like Blu-ray ?  Because then you could view the movie on the 27" monitor' native resolution instead of the single linked 30" at 1200x800.

Or am I'm mistaken ?
