UNSOLVED
Corupt GUI?
I plugged a new monitor into my desktop (8250) and windows hangs for about 5 minutes and then loads only the desktop, no window no icons. I can work around it by using the task manager to load most of my programs but if I try to go to my computer the system hangs for good. Any suggestions?

Post this question in the operating system forums. Since you see stuff on the screen then the monitor is fine.
