My monitor shows nothing but a white blank screen, I've tried turning it on and off and sometimes the picture shows, but goes away with any movement on the monitor. Anyone know if the issue is worth fixing?
I own a Dell Dimension 4600 with the E151FPb flat panel monitor that I've had for one year and one month, and the same thing is happening to me! It is quite frustrating. My screen used to flicker white and then go back to the picture, but now the white screen is there for a long time, and no matter what I do, the picture rarely comes back.
What's worse is that I spent almost an hour with tech support only to have him tell me that I needed a new video card. I am very skeptical about the new video card fixing my problem. When I unplugged the monitor from the desktop, I still got the white screen and managed to get a picture (the Dell self-test "picture") after I banged on the back of the monitor.
Has anyone talked to Dell tech support about this? Did anyone else get the recommendation to buy a new video card? I just don't think that is the problem; I think it's the monitor.
And based on other postings I've seen here, it appears that this is a common problem with this type of monitor. I must say I am pretty disappointed with this whole experience.
Thanks.

I replaced my monitor (the new one was NOT purchased from Dell) and that fixed my problem. I don't get any white screens anymore. It obviously wasn't a video card problem, as told to me by Dell Tech Support.
