Does the Dell 1907FP support HDTV?

Hi there,

I've just plugged in my new monitor and attached both the analog and DVI cable up to my graphics card. The monitor is working fine in analog mode. The graphics card has detected that its DVI output is connected to a display, however, the NVidia Display Setup Wizard has popped up asking me:

"Does the display connected to the DVI out support high-definition television (HDTV) content?" [Yes | No]

"Enabling HDTV on a non-HD display can severely damage your display"

Please tell me, should I select Yes or No?

    Let me see if i understand correctly

    you have 1 computer, 1 video card, 1 monitor?

    you have hooked up both the VGA(analog) and DVI ?

    I would think having both connected would cause problems.
    you only need one cable for it to work.
    I prefer DVI but analog works fine as well

    I have a 1907fp connected to an older vidcard\computer(sony)
    so i am using analog(nvidia grafix card)

    on my Dell computer i have a W2600 connected to a Geforce 6800gs on DVI

    As for the HDTV - i think not. HD is widescreen (16:9) which the 1907 is not
    but i think the question they are asking is if it is HDCP compliant(HD copy protection)

    But i will leave the final verdict to others with more knowledge of the 1907fp and the status of HDTV-HDCP compliance.

    Thanks Blintok.

    I've now taken the analog out. DVI's working fine.

    I answered 'No' to the question as to whether the monitor attached to my graphics card supported HDTV. I don't want to risk damaging it. If anyone knows any different then please let me know.
