NMC 3.4 - problems with nmc_help.jar on Windows XP

I have updated the NMC to version 3.4 on my Windows XP workstation. Now I can not start the console anymore. In the java web console I get the following error message:

    first make sure you don't have Java ver 6 it's not compatible with the NMC

    I am in a windows 2003 version but i had the same problem, reason is the location of the java start changed. the .ind changed

    is your NMC on the same server as your backup server?

    I've tried the java version 1.4.2 and 1.5. That makes no difference.

    The NMC is installed on my local workstation. On the backup server is the NMC version 3.2 installed. This version can i start.

    Have you solved your problem? Can you explain me what you meen with "the .ind changed".

    Have you cleared your java cache?

    Yes, of course. I've cleared the java before every new test.

    Hi,

    1.) one of the other problems with java is that you should delete in the symstemsettings->java control panel -> common -> temporarily internet settings -> settings -> application? her you should delete every application like Networker Manage......

    2.) after this you should also have a look at the applet register card and delete all applets....
    3.) you should have a look into your registry, if everything is purged from the java 6 version.
    remark: This was my problem. I deleted carefully tha java entries and reinstalled Java 1.5.11 and the servicepack for XP and it works.

    Now I have solved my problem. The problem was that I had parallel installed the Java versions 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6. Activated was the version 1.5. Now I have unistalled the version 1.6 and erverything is fine.
