Maximum stack uplink length

What is the maximum recommended length for a stacking cable. Thanks.

Shorting the better. 3 foot is the standard. I wouldn't go shorter than that. Although a 1 foot would look better I would still use a 3 foot cable.

I am more interested in the maximum length. With CAT6 could you do 100m?
