Stacking Module - Dell Powerconnect 6248
Hello. I have a Dell Powerconnect 6248. This used to be a secondary switch in a stacked configuration (2 switches total). However, the master went down in a power outage so we unplugged it and this one became the stack master. It is still configured in a stack configuration.
My question is this: Can I remove the stacking module card while the switch is on and in production?
The reason for this is that I have purchased a new 6248 and have repaired the former master as well and want to stack those two as they are both on the newer firmware. What is the best practice for this as I do not want to take down the switch by unplugging the stack module.
Let me know if you need any additional information!
Thank you very much for any information!

Is there any configuration needed after removing the stacking module for the switch to continue to operate as a stand-alone switch?
