my daughter just got a inspiron computor and we are trying to get line. does someone have one of these if so could you tell me what is needed to get on internet. thing we have to buy what ever else we need to know. thanks in advance we have cable access

Could you provide a bit more information? How are you trying to connect to the cable modem, through USB, ethernet or through a router? If through a router, are trying to connect by ethernet or USB? What steps have you taken already in attempting to connect?
