You should not be using a static IP Address. Enable the DHCP, go to your wireless card properties and highlight the TCP/IP Protocol then click on properties. Make sure that Obtain an IPAddress automatically and  Obtain DNS server addresses automatically are both selected. If this does not solve the problem then disable all your security on the router and see if you can get connected. If so then re-enable each piece of security that you want to use one at a time and make sure you can connect.

why should I not be using a static ip?

My other dell works fine with this setup, is there an issue with the 1350 card?  which driver do I use?

windows updates states a version, the downloads page does not have that one?

There is no reason the 1390 cannot do this type of setup; however the reason you would not want to use a static IP address is if you take your system somewhere else you most likely will not get that same IPAddress. Some people use static IPAddresses at home to limit how many people can get on their router and that's fine; but since you are having problems disable this security in your router and set your system to accept DHCP. If you want to turn it off later that is your choice of course but you should allow your router to assign the IPAddress and instead secure your router.

 

To remove the driver go to add/remove programs and uninstal the driver.

 

The updated driver is R140747. Please do not use the windows driver.
