I tried to get this from Dell by submitting a request via email for any Linux drivers.  The problem with the Broadcom card is that it cannot use regular Broadcom drivers, they must be drivers generated from Dell.  That leads me to believe the card used is the systems is a mongralized version of the original manufacture of the card.  I found this out when I was trying to make a Ghost book disk for the system.  No drivers worked that were from Broadcom.  Downloaded Dell's drivers and voila, worked like a charm.

If you get these I desparately need them as well.  My system is a GX280.  I wish Dell would either use the manufacture's drivers so we could conceivably compile our own if necessary but here we are completely reliant upon Dell who said it was unsupported.  I explained that my contention was and is that more & more people (my clients) are moving to Linux and if they won't provide drivers, people will start looking to companies that will provide them.  As a consultant, that is what I would recommend to my clients.
