I have a problem with my web browser in that it does not display my home screen. The computer is wired but through a wireless router for my netbook connection. The cable connection is fine as I have tried my netbook runs OK on it.
The display just comes up "Diagnose Connection Problem" but Window's say's connection good. Any idea's welcomed, thanks.
You may need to reset the wirelss router. Turn off the computers, Unplug the wireless router power cable, unplug the power cable from the cable box. Leave them off for a few minutes then turn them on in this order.
Has the connection from your Dimension 2400 ever worked properly? One of the things that can make for difficulty is a software firewall. You need to be sure you have only one enabled because Windows XP has a firewall of its own. If you have only one firewall working, you need to be sure that you have your default gateway to the router set to be a trusted source. In some firewall products you can enable network detection which will accomplish the same thing.

Still no joy, I've tried plugging them in both orders but still nothing. What puzzles me is that it operates my netbook,no problem.
