Home Network
I have searched internet for hours tried everything they have suggested with no luck. I changed over to a new wireless router and now the laptop and desktop can not exchange files. The desktop can ping the laptop, but the laptop can not ping the desktop. Both can ping the router. I have gone through the wireless set-up wizard about 20 times with no luck. I have also gone through the home network wizard 20 time s with no luck. I have turned off McAfee firewall and virus on both computers and I have turned off the firewall on the website for the router and windows firewall. I have turned off the wireless security for the router to see if that was the hang-up. I have tried changing the names of the computer and the network name, everything I can think off. Nothing seems to allow the two computers to see each other. Both can access the internet.
My desktop is an 8300 with ethernet connection
My laptop is an 6000 with an intel wireless connection.
Please help figure why this is not working.
Also, when I do the wireless wizard, the usb option does not seem to work on my systems.
Thanks
Ron
