Inspiron 2500 Internal Modem/Network Adapter Problem
Hi
I have a 4 year old Inspiron 2500 dell that originally had Windows ME installed on it. I recently upgraded it to XP (using an upgrade product), however i can't connect to the internet using a broadband connection but can still connect using a dialup.
I have an Actiontec Mini PCI V.90 Data/Fax Modem and it does have a network port (its right next to the modem port). Am not very technically minded but i think its a driver issue, i am stumped as to what driver i should use to get windws XP to recognise it. i have used the ones from the dell support site but to no avail.
Any hints etc.. would be most appreciated as dell are not being helpful as my warranty has run out.
