Modem & Printer problem
I have a Dell dimension 4600 computer and a Dell A920 printer. My modem went out yesterday or that's what the Dell tech man from India said as near as I can figure out. I ordered a new modem and was putting the printer back on with the disk supplied but a message comes up saying "operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not running." Does the modem being out have anything to do with the Printer? Chas

The modem has nothing to do with the Printer issue. However, the Dell Ink Jet section is where to post to get support on Dell branded units such as yours.
The print spooler is part of Windows but depending on how you are reinstalling the printer could be the reason. The people on the Dell Ink Jet section will be able to help you with the correct procedure - generally you install the software and ONLY connect the unit when the installl program tells you to.
