Wireless connection

I have the Dell inspiron 6400 I love this machine but I am so frustrated that I can not connect with my wireless. I have talked to the router company sold by dell. God help me if I can get to speak with some one I can understand properly and can understand me. No offence I have an accent too but it rediculeous and impossible to communicate with this techs.
Anybody out there who can help me?

    Which wireless network adatper?  Which make and model router?  What exactly happens when you try to connect?  Can you "see" the router when you go to View Available Wireless Netoworks?  Do you have any security features enabled on the router?  If so, have your tried temporarily disabling these features until you are sure you can connect.   I can write English without an accent, but I can't help if you don't provide more information than "I can't connect".

    I just posted with a similar issue on 6400.  I don't know what to do, but wait and see.
