Wireless Internet

I just purchased a Belkin Wireless router.  I am unable to connect to the internet through the router because according to Belkin Technical Support my Dimension B110 desktop doesn't have a wireless icon in the network / internet  connections page of my control panel.  They told me I have to call Dell to get this icon there and then I will be able to use the router to access the internet.  Does anyone have a solution as to how I get the wireless icon to this page?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you actually have a wireless network adapter in your Dimension B110?  Most desktop computers do not come with wireless adapters.

Little by little you are providing the information we need to help you with the problem.  Did you install the software for the USB wireless adapter before plugging the USB adapter into a USB port?

At the time I purchased the Belkin wireless router, I also purchased the Belkin Wireless G USB network adapter that I also installed.  It just plugged into one of the empty USB ports.

    Thanks,

    Steve,

Sorry, it has taken so long to get back to you.  Yes, I installed the software of the wireless network adapter prior to hooking up the adapter.  I followed the instructions from Belkin.

    Thank you

To help troubleshoot this problem, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.
