Wireless network connected, but cannot resolve addresses
My network was all fine and dandy until I updated my router's firmware.
I have the following hardware: Linksys WRT54G (Ver 2) Wireless Router
Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Card Mini PCI in my laptop which isn't working
Linksys Wireless-G PCI card in a desktop which is working
The problem started when I updated my Firwmare (pretty old) to the latest (version 4.30.5 if I'm not mistaken). The symptoms are simple. The Dell TrueMobile will not resolve names. Local and remote IPs are completely pingable. I can even SSH into my office. Just can't resolve anything in any application (YM, Firefox, IE, etc.). I have a regular NIC in the laptop which does work. So, my laptop is useable if I hook it up w/ a network cable to the router... kind of goes against the purpose though. For the record, I've tried both manually setting the IP address & DNS servers, and gotten them through DHCP. Behavior is exactly the same on all fronts.
I would normally just fall back on the old firmware, but I don't see it available for downlaod at Linksys. I have tried the latest driver for the Dell card as well, to no avail. I thought it might be a setting on the router, but my other wireless card (Linksys) works like a champ. I hadn't touched it in months, fired it up, and viola, same as it was. Thanks.

I have MAC filtering, but disabling didn't help the problem, which was very likely. As stated above, there's no problem 'connecting', only resolving. I can ping internal & external IPs just fine. I did the "reset security" feature, turned of MAC filtering and all other security. Same problem. I guess the only thing I can do is find another firmware version and hope that fixes it.
