WOL Again

Just been in touch with Dell technical support, about the WOL feature on the integrated cards on the GX150 and 260 and they reckon the cards are not WOL compatible, although many on this forum seem manage it.

I suspect the tech guy's at Dell are full of ****.

Has anyone got it to work?

WuOL works fine for me on the GX 150. I don't have any GX260s yet.

    GX240 and GX260

    My conclusion:

GX240 might work on Windows after togling with config of the NIC. I do Linux and will not install Windows first. Bommer.

GX260 works out of the box, but only if shutdown faily nicely.

PS. Dell techie pointed to DellTalk but had close to no insight

    We use WOL on GX1, GX150, GX260 and GX270.

GX1 works after running Bitflip Utility from Dell. And i some cases installing 3Com EtherCD 5.43 for Windows, then run Tcaudiag -a, disable/enable Wake up from Shutdown.

GX150 Works After installing3Com EtherCD 5.43 for Windows, then run Tcaudiag -a, disable/enable Wake up from Shutdown.

GX260 Works Out of the box.

GX270 Works Out of the box.
