Optiplex SFF(mini tower) graphics card?
I just ordered a mini tower, saw no upgrade options for a separate video card, so am guessing that this is a no-go? But wanted to ask "you", just to be sure.
All of the current mini-towers have a 180 watt power supply and pci-e 3.0 x2 expansion slots. For a higher resolution than HD(1920x1080) monitor, I thought that something other than the integrated intel 630 graphics might be needed?
The handbook listed a few Radeon models (R5 and R7s) as options but did not state whether one of these could be added without changing the power supply.
So, can any video card be added, that would be an improvement over the integrated 630, to a mini tower without having to change out the power supply?

The choice of card depends on what you are trying to do.
Non Dell cards require secure boot OFF in bios.
Which is why 8CCF1 GT1030 40W Full Height works fine
and Low profile GT1030 cards with Full Height and Low profile brackets are fine. And Quadro P400 cards are fine

25W. Radeon HD 5450. 2 gig video cards with Full Height and Low profile brackets are fine. The low profile brackets seem to be missing from current cards. 5450 is not more powerful than GT1030.

Thanks for asking! My goal is simply to use a higher resolution monitor than HD (I don't game or do anything special graphics) but having gotten used to the higher resolution TVs(UHD etc), would like to have it as good with my PC.
I ordered the 3050 with the I5-7500 processor. Memory, expect it doesn't matter, but is 8 G Ram, 256 SSD.

There is a few carrds that would fit in the confined space of the machine such as GeForce GT 730 or AMD FirePro W4100. Max resolution on it is 4k and since you said "I don't game or do anything special graphics" Should work fine.

Thanks much for your recommendations!
Doing a bit of checking myself, see that the HDMI port of the current (2015-2018) mini towers use the earlier version 1.4 versus the latest 2.0, and that you really want a HMDI 2.0 for the 4K monitor? (if you don't use the display port?). So dead end on using the integrated graphics Intel HD630/i5-7500. Not sure if it would have been better to have the i7, but water under the bridge.
Could see that the two suggested cards require less than 50 watts of power. I could not see on the Dell website how much power the mini tower with the i5-7500 consumes in the mini tower 3050(sure someone at Dell knows?), so expect I will have to measure "it" myself when it comes. Meanwhile, will skip buying a new monitor, use an old HD.

Just to close this out, the 3050 arrived. Quite pleased with the box. Estimated it pulls 100 watts as configured, and somehow it shipped with a 240 watt power supply! So could add the card, but it does so well with my older HD monitor, save the upgrade for later. Much thanks for your help!41180

Make sure whatever GPU you get is LP (low profile) with short bracket. Not too many options for the 3060: AMD Radeon™ R5 430, 2GB; AMD Radeon™ RX 550, 4GB; NVIDIA GeForce® GT 730, 2GB
