R730 + GTX1080
We have a few deployments of the power edge R730 with a NVIDIA GTX180Ti installed using the GPU installation kit provided by Dell.
The R730 is obviously end of life and we are looking to use the R740 with the same setup for an upcoming project but the Dell team we are currently dealing with are telling us that the R740 cannot support a GTX1080Ti. Are you able to confirm if this is true?

No, the 1080ti is not supported on any of our servers. You can find information about supported GPGPUs on this page, it may not be a complete list:
