Perc 3/Di current versions

Hi

I've just installed a new 2650. The 'Array Manager Utility' claims that my configuration is not supported. Th config for the 3/Di is:

2.7.1(3170) firmware/6076 driver

It says I should have 6077 firmware. Is this right? The driver version in device manager is 2.8.0.6076. Things seem to be working OK.

Cheers

Mike

    Hi Mike,

The 3.5 version of the Array Manager "should" upgrade the Perc firmware to version 2.8. Although I have seen some reports on these forums which say the process was incomplete. However, it appears the Array Manager did upgrade the driver on your system to bersion 2.8.

    I have 2 possible solutions:

    1. Uninstall the Array Manager and reinstall. This may correct the issue.

    2. Wait until the separate download for the 2.8 firmware is released. This should be in mid April.

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forums!

    Hi Mike,

As Quino stated, these are pre-failure sense-key warnings. However in this case it is only a cosmetic issue caused by Array Manager 3.5 and the Perc 2/dc. In this particular situation, you will only see these warnings at bootup or during a rescan of the bus and you will see the same warning on every drive on the bus. If you see these errors at other times, further investigation is needed.

There will be a patch available shortly to correct these false warnings.
