RX10 RAID question

Hi,

I need to replace a file server(pe1750). It's not very big, about .5  gb of data. At the same time, I need to replace the tape backup.

So, I have been looking at the LTO4 tape backup, and the RX10 series of servers. Have now looked at the R310, R410, R510 , R610, and from what I can figure out, there is no way to have a RAID 5 on the server and a connection to the Tape at the same time with the 310 and the 410. My choices would be the 510 (2u) or the 610.

Am I correct on this conclusion.

Also, it looks like the 15 models are right out of the question, such as the R415, correct

You can add a PCIe SAS card to the 415 and use an external tape drive.

From the R415 server customise page:

2nd RAID or SCSI Controller Card
The PowerEdge R415 is designed with only one PCIe x16 slot. If a PCIe card from this module is selected then no other PCIe card can be installed in the system.

    SAS 6Gbps External Controller

    Not included [subtract £75.00]
SAS 6Gbps External Controller [Included in Price]
PERC H800 RAID Adapter for External JBOD, 512MB Cache, PCIe [add £385.00 or £14/month-1]
PERC H800 RAID Adapter for External JBOD, 512MB NV Cache, PCIe [add £405.00 or £15/month-1]
PERC H800 RAID Adapter for External JBOD, 1GB NV Cache, PCIe [add £525.00 or £20/month-1]

    and from the storage/backup page:

LTO-4-120 Tape Backup Drive -  Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) at 3 Gbit/sec
