we have some window servers having Windows 2003 [x64] Enterprise Edition R2 SP2 using powerpath version 5.3
while checking we found that powerpath in there is not licensed but our system admin isdamn sure that he has added the license keys at the time of bult, what could be the cause of looing the license?
If you are missing the license key, versus the paths showing unlicensed with a key present, then one possibility is you lost it during an uninstall and reinstall of PowerPath. You can verify this by reviewing the Application Event log for PowerPath installation events.
Could it be possible the admin clicked OK rather than clicking Add then OK? Doing so doesn't add the license key to powerpath. I've seen our server admins make that mistake before.
