ml6000 loading tapes initial setup

i just installed my ml6000 with 1 fc drive. I opened the door on the right side and put in 6 tapes and shut the door. I went to the web interface but cannot see the tapes to import.

When you initially insert the tapes you will need to assign them to a partition vai the front panel prior to being able to see them in the web interface.

Make sure you have bar code labels on the tapes, put them in the i/e station.

When the library scans the slots and finds the tapes, a message should appear on the display. Something like. Import the the tapes to "system" or "library a"( default name. Insert your library name if you've changed it) . I have found if you select system on the touch screen the tapes stay in the i/e station, if you select Library a, they are moved into the slots and are made available to the backup software.
