I have a Dell Precision 5820 machine.

It has 1 500Mb SATA SSD with Windows 10 on it.

I bought 3 2Tb SATA SSDs and would like to configure them as RAID 0.

If I enable RAID in UEFI BIOS setting I can see the Intel RSTe controller and can create a new RAID volume from my 3 SATA drives leaving the original drive as non-RAID. However, if I do this the OS does not boot.

If I change back to AHCI it boots fine with the original Windows.

Is there a way to add RAID as a second ‘drive’ while booting from the non-RAID drive or will I have to reinstall Windows on the RAID?

If I install on the RAID, will Windows see my non-RAID drive or will I have to create another RAID volume from that one drive for it to be visible?
