Dell HDD Driver Update, How-to
I have a Dell T7910 the I purchased refurbished with 3 Dell Enterprise 4TB drives (P/N: 6P85J). These drives currently have the GS11 firmware installed and they function fine. However, the current listed firmware for them is GS15, I have been able to find the firmware, however, it says it is not compatible with my system. I assume it is because the FW is for RedHat Linux and I am running a Debian-based system. Is there an alternative installer that I can use to flash the updated FW. Or am I stuck?

You can use windows or any of these RHEL/SLES/Ubuntu. So maybe the less disruptive way would be to boot with a live ubuntu and install from there
On a side note, if the firmware update is marked urgent, there's merit in updating. If it's marked recommended, you could likely avoid all the hassle.
