Overheating
Hi,
I want a computer that will run 24/7 on a high intensity set of routines. I ran the latest Apple Pro 12 core and it burned out in just over a year. Any recommendations regarding a multicore Dell that is not going to burn out.
I asked this question of Dell technical help via email multiple times for 5 months and only got "your message has been forwarded to the appropriate department..." And "we will get back to you within 1-2 business days..." Of course no one ever did.

Hello, that's not a lot of info to have someone give you a definitive answer. Most workstations and servers are made for that exact situation but other factors are involved. The computer environment, maintenance, updates, computer backups and other forces come into play when doing intensive computing. Perhaps you could arrange an appointment with a Dell Rep and discuss your requirements face to face?
I hope the Apple Pro was under warranty.
