The correct dvd latch is
pls ask seller to confirm the correct DP/N. The bare dvd itself is oem and should fit. You may want to check the dvd bezel to confirm it is for this modelLatch, Optical Device Drive, SLIM, Slim Form Factor, D7 4H4R8 (edited)

@redxps630 Thanks for replying. Ebay sellers show 2 different DVD drives for the 3420. One with the latch and one without. The case on the one without looks a little different in comparison.
