1700 on LINUX Printing Postscript
Any suggestions on configuration for a 1700 on RedHat to get it to print Postscript? I've setup the printer as raw and ghostscript but just get a red error light when I send it a print job. It's connected to the network on an HPx500 port server. Typically I would install a ppd but haven't found one for this printer.
I have been using 1700n which includes postscrit but made an error when ordering this printer.

Dell printer 1700 is not PostScript you have to buy a 1700n to print using PostScript.Frumblefoot of

Yes, I understand that - however, the site runs SAMBA and I should be able to wrap my print job to supply the printer with a feed it can understand. If I were to connect this to a PC - it would print - I just need the ppd. Any idea on where I can find one for a 1700?
