Just unpacked the 3100cn an hour ago.  Using MPF. First two test pages looked pretty good, but the very left side seemed lighter than the right.

 

Printed a color photo.  Nothing was cut off on the left, but the colors were a little off.

 

Then, printing a landscape Excel spreadsheet the cut off on the left side was worse.  3-7 rows of the spreadsheet lost and a couple more printed poorly.

 

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

 

Should I take out the cartridges and shake?  Do they come out without toner getting everywhere (I made quite a yellow mess getting the first one in)? 

 

Or does it sound like something else?
