Dell 725W Wireless Scan Issues

My Dell 725w printer has no issues printing wireless.  The printer can be in sleep mode and when I print it wakes up and prints. Scanning, however, is a totally different problem. When the printer goes to sleep I cannot scan and continuously get communication errors from Dell Printer Home.  Two workarounds "fix it", reboot the printer or reboot my Dell Vostro. Then it will scan for awhile but soon will again sleep and not respond. I'm saying "sleep" because I have no other way to describe it.

I've followed all the instruction found on Dell's website and nothing works.  I've uninstalled the software and reinstalled it about 4 times but no luck.  I've changed to static IP (192.168.1.6, port 9200) no change.  Next step is to buy another all-in-one and even then I'm not sure what to buy.

Any suggestions would be most helpful.
