Dell AIO 966

The Dell all-in-one Photo 966

It is stuck in a loop when starting up...... it begins to intialise then displays 'Cartridge Error, Error #1203. Consult user guide.'

It goes no further. Previously I have changed the cartridges and it has been printing sucessfully. Now the above message. It has asked me to remove the ribbon from the cartridges. This was done when I first installed the new Dell cartridges. There is no ribbon to remove. I am unable to use it to print, scan or copy as it's stuck.

Has any one else had this problem or know of a remedy????"

In many cases a cartridge error indicates a defective cartridge.  There is an IC chip inside the cartridge that reports the cartridge model, ink level, etc.  If that IC is defective you will get the error you are getting.  If this happend after replacing a cartridge with a new Dell cartridge, contact Dell for a warranty replacement.
