P703w Printer

I don't get this my computer is a 64 bit. My wireless printer goes off line OFTEN my latest install try from Dell wansn't working so I made the choice to specify 32 bit on a 64 bit computer and it worked. I have Windows 7 and don't understand this why would a printer need to be installed on a 32 bit system when the computer is a 64 bit system? I have a P703w  AIO wireless  printeer. Is the p703w printer unable to install on a 64 bit system?

    HI, Mah

    Welcome to the community,

This is to inform you that there is some software which gets conflicted with the 64 bit Operating System and some of them work correctly with their family of operating system. However, this kind of issues comes very rare. Bit till the time your printer and your system is communicating with each other and functioning properly it is good enough.

    Thanks,

    Thank you,

    Hi,

    Welcome to the community,

Printer P703w is compatible for 32 bit and 64 bit Windows and 32 bit driver can be installed on a 64 bit Windows 7 operating system

However if the printer looses wireless connectivity and goes offline

then there are few things that you can check.

    1. check the distance between the printer and wireless router

    2. you can also change the channel settings within the router,

the best channel numbers that you can choose is 11.

    3. go to start and in 'Search programe file box' type the word RUN

then click on RUN that appears at the top, you will get a box that will say RUN, in the run box type MSCONFIG and click OK

    4. In MSconfig make sure that it is selected as Normal start up

    5. also check the antivirus firewall settings, the firewall settings should give full access to the printer settings.
