I have just recent purchased the 2300mp and would like to connect a HDMI DVD player with componet output and a DVD recorder( Sky TV is coming through my DVD recorder) with component output to the projector at the same time. The 2300mp has only one VGA input
Can I get some sort of and adapter to connect both these units.
It can really save you a lot of trouble by going the coaxial cable route. Aren't there coaxial input and output on your DVD devices? If you insist on using component outputs, you can use two component-to-VGA cables, a VGA switch, and a VGA connection to your projector.
Thanks for the reply but what do you mean by coaxial cable route between DVD Devices I thought that component was the best way to go for picture quality. I live in Ireland we have scart connections here would that be what you are saying.
Cable TV can transmit high definition signals, so I don't see any reason that a coaxial cable cannot transmit anything that a component cable can. SCART and coaxial cable are not the same thing.

coax does not transmit hd, only component, hdmi or dvi. coax into your cable box is only carrying 1's and 0's. there are no inputs or passthroughs on a dvd player. i use a component upconverting receiver and plug my high def cable and dvd player into that then i plug that into the projector with the supplied component to vga cable
