Password for Dell 3400 MP Projector
Please help. When I switch on my Dell 3400 MP Projector, I get the message "Please key in the password" PPID: TW-OM8591-70641-74E-0117. I lent out the projector to a friend to use but they tell me they didn't insert any password. I have tried to reset the password by trying to reset to the factory settings but I cannot access the OSD menu. The Projector is stuck at the window asking for a password and I cannot use the projector at all. Please help!

- Chris, thank you for your message. I have contacted them but my service tag doesn't exist in the US database as the projector was procured outside the US. I have been asked to fill a Tag Transfer Form to transfer my tag to the US and be attended to. I have done that and awaiting their response. Thanks again.
- Hi Chris,
following my last post. I filled in the Tag transfer form and the Tag Team got back to me saying that the records show that the Projector was purchased through a local distributor and that I need to contact them for assistance and that the US technical support does not assist for items not physically in the US.
My problem is that before I started all this, the local distributor wasn't able to address the problem.
Please advise me what I should do next.
Thank you,
Regards,
Ken residencia

You have the bill?

You must call into Support, 800-624-9896. Explain that you need an L2 technician to run the Password Reset Utility. They will verify you are the owner of the projector.
