If I understand correctly, if the original PERC (H710?) is installed, the system booted normal but unable to launch RAID wizard, whereas if install a new H710, you have a system halted, PCIe training error?
STOR0502 is usually related that there is no RAID controller installed or detected. Hence you are seeing device settings not showing RAID controller. You might be having a bad onboard PERC port issue. Have you already updated BIOS and iDRAC's version?
Can you provide me both the PERC's DPN#?

What is your error? PCIe Training error, system halted or STOR0502? Can you give us more detail about the issue. And also the configuration that your server has, what is the RAID controller model? So far, what have you done for troubleshooting? Can you give us screenshots of the issue.

Hi,
I'm leaning towards that the mainboard connectors are faulty. As STOR0502 is indicating no RAID controller is detected.
