Backup software and RAID controller combination that DOES work?

Hi,

Using Norton Ghost 9.0 and Intel(R) 82801GR SATA RAID controller.

The C: and D: partition is recognized by Norton Ghost by loading the correct RAID controller drivers from floppy - floppy created from the Dell Resource CD - by pressing F6 during Norton Recovery Disk boot.

But when I try to restore an *.v2i image I get the following error:

Error EC950001: The Engine has not been initialized.

Does anyone know of backup software that does work with the RAID controller mentioned above?

TIA.

Regards,

Simon.

Try "Image for Windows" or "Image for DOS" from Terabyte Unlimited at www.terabyteunlimited.com

Also try "Drive Snapshot" at www.drivesnapshot.de

They both have free trial versions.

I've used them both. "Image for Widows" is probably the easiest to use (minor point). Both developers answer their emails promptly (major point).

    Good Luck
