I should have mentioned this in the first post, but I did try that before. It turns the partition into Free Space, but it still says its an extended partition. And it won't give me the option of extending the C:/ drive.

This is simple to do you use disk manager right click on D:\ and delete that partition .

Then right click on C:\ and select expand this partition it will take up the space

that was left over after you deleted D:\ !!

And if want to you could do the same for all of the other partitions and just have one big C:\

but you can not delete the little partition in front of C:\  Vista will not expand to the center of the drive

it can only expand out to the end of the drive !

From what i see you can only have 4 primary partitions

you would have to delete one of the other partitions like the 2 gig one to make the C:\

expand out to take up the rest of the space !

Actually, after removing the D-drive, you also have to right click on the extended partition (surrounded by the green barrier), and then you can extend the C-drive by right clicking on it and selecting to extend it.

What do you mean by that? I deleted the D drive, but now when I right click it, it only gives me the option of "New Simple Volume", and "Delete Partition" (which gives an error saying there's not enough space to do that)

You should be able to delete the green (extended) partition.

After this you right click on the C-drive and select to extend.

Whenever I try to do that, it says "There is not enough space available on the disk(s) to complete this operation"

That is when I try to delete the partition. But, it's when I try to delete it after I've made it free space. But when I do make it free space, it is still surrounded by the green outline saying it's extended.

 

And when I try now to extend the C drive, even though I have the free space, the option is just greyed out and unclickable.

When you try to do what? The delete or the extend option?
