Rebooting Loop

When I turn on my DELL 4300 Dimension it says that windows has occured an error. It gives me the choice of Safe Mode(regular, and with network), booting with last settings, or boot normally, all of which do not work and reboots the computer to the same menu. There is a blue screen that flashes for 1/2 second. However after watching this a few times i got this:

0x00000050 (0xAE1EF018, 0x00000000, 0xF86BBOOB, 0x00000000)

Address: F86BB00B
Base: F86B0000

Problem with cdfs.sys

Also when we booted in MS-DOS and tried to change the directory to the C Drive from the A Drive, the computer said it couldn't find the C drive.

Have you check system setup to see what's listed there? How about your diagnostic lights on the back of the computer?

What exactaly am I looking for in the system setup? How do i get to the system setup? What are the diagnostic lights? If it is in the C Drive I cannot get to it because the computer cannot find it.

    Tom:

Here are the instructions for your system setup (bookmark them):

    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim4300/syssetup.htm#1097056

The diagnostic codes are listed here:

    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim4300/codes.htm#1101572

Now might be a good time to familiarize yourself with your computer. (just kidding, we're here to help)
