Recent Dell Order

Hi,
This whole forum thing changed and I am totally confused; Is this supposed to be an improvement? I hope I am posting in the right place.

I recently ordered and received what I thought was a compatible HDD and an Upgrade Kit for an I9300, with the intention of cloning my System HDD and having a replacement at the ready. When I received the components, they were not compatible, the hardware connections were different. After much frustration in attempting to return the wrong items I finally managed to do so. They arrived at their respective destinations 11/11/2008, but I have yet to get my refund. Adding insult to injury, I was sent a survey by e-mail today when I clicked the link I kept getting errors. When I just now went back to get a description of the errors, it completed without further problems - go figure.

I have been satisfied with Dell products for about ten years now, but this one experience has dramatically changed my opinion. Why would they ship these non-compatible items when the intended purpose was so obvious? I first tried getting my problem resolved by e-mail, but they said I had to call. Then the frustrations started; I wonder if they realize it takes a minimum of fifteen minutes (three calls - the other two were 18 and 22 min.) to talk to a live person. Then the frustration continues, because (I'm sorry ... but)  I could not understand the person due to their accent.

I won't repeat the obvious cliche' - about the 'little things.'

    Hi,
This is the end of all ends, the old community forum was good; this THING is nothing but a black hole, and probably where Dell will eventually end up. I guess Michael has enough Millions.
I returned the discrepant items to Dell and they were received at their destination the same day. The credit refund for one of the items was issued and has already cleared my Credit Card Account, so I sent an e-mail to check on the status of the second one. I received the reply closest to the bottom and sent additional information hoping to get some sort of explanation - sure, I got the same identical word for word answer. I guess it's no. 1 on their list. I need to show someone the efficiency of Dell Support, here is an actual factual e-mail (with all names eliminated):

    Dear ,

Thank you for contacting Dell Online Customer Care.

In regard to your request for the status of your refund, it is currently being processed and should take approximately 6 business days for the refund to be made to the original method of payment. If you paid by credit card, it may take up to two billing cycles for the credit to be reflected on your account.

    Sincerely,

I had two separate items that were returned. They were shipped the same day, received at their destination the same day; I received credit refund for one item that has already been processed through my credit account.
