how to get a total storage amount for host using symcli commands

Hi,

I need to provide my boss a storage total by host on the symmetrix. Is there such a command. I know symmaskdb -sid xx -wwn xx shows me the devices and their sizes, however it doesn't give me a total. Our storage scope installation is very flaky, I inherited it, and it needs work, however my boss needs the report as soon as possible.

I am relatively new to symcli and so any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Awesome! That works, we have a few that aren't listed that way, but the majority are and this will make my life a whole lot easier. Thanks again!

do systems have been assigned appropriate names in symmask database ? If yes then you could do this:

symmaskdb -sid 123 -host list capacity

I did that, however, the command did not give me a total per host.

If you are using a VMAX try this

symaccess -sid 123 list devinfo -ig
