Hi,

I have a question about using the Unisphere for VMAX (U4V) REST API to collect metrics. I understand that I can collect metrics for Storage Groups that are created on the VMAX but, according the the API guide, it looks like I can also collect metrics for Device Groups.

I'm curious how this would work since Device Groups are local to the host that they are created on. How does U4V know about Device Groups? Do I need to create Device Groups on the U4V Server itself perhaps? I feel like this is a dumb question but I'm just not clear on how it works.
