Hi All,
If I issue a symdev show command,from which database it will collect the info. Is it from local host database or from vcm database ?

It queries the symapi_db.bin file. The VCM is the masking database, so only commands like "symmask" and "symmaskdb" will query it.

vcmdb is masking database residing in SFS and symapi.bin contains all information about your devices raid groups etc
