DMC Question
Hello,
I have a question concerning the Dell Management Console. What I am trying to do is to do a network discovery of an enclosure. It's an M1000e and I do a network discovery using the IP of the enclosure. However, it only brings up reports on the chassis. What I really want is to be able to see all the blades in that enclosure. I have SNMP and OMSA set up on all the blades, and I can scan them individually, then bring up reports on them. However, I would like to be able to just scan the enclosure once and have it bring up all the reports on each blade server. This makes it easier than scanning each individual blade or knowing the IP addresses of each one. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for posting! For the reports to be available on the blades, they need to be discovered individually. You can just make a discovery range that covers all of the blades, then they can all be discovered. You will still need to set up SNMP and OMSA on the blades so they can communicate properly with DMC. The iDRAC that governs the enclosure does not have access to as much information as the OS on each blade, so it can't provide as much details on the alerts. It is a good idea for the next generation!
