I am having problem with my new Dell PowerEdge T310. I purchased it from a local retailer. When I boot, it does not detect the SAS Hard Drive. How can I make my DELL able to detect the hard drive. Also my question : Does PowerEdge T310 works normally if I remove the so called iDRAC6 card? I have not yet installed OS but planning to install MS Windows Server 2003 SP2. Seems to configue iDRAC is quite difficult to me. I have a small business and run the network of 4 to 6 computers, and PowerEdge T310 I like to set up as server. Please advise.
Hi, there's no link with iDrac, check that your disks are well connected to the RAID controller if you have one.
Then during boot sequence press Ctrl + R to configure your HDD.
Idrac 6 is only here to provide you some admin features. Try to get the Technical guide book of the PE T310 it's very usefull : http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/pedge/en/poweredge-t310-technical-guidebook-en.pdf

Another option is to launch the USC (f10 at startup if memory serves me correctly), it will allow you do to it all in a pretty friendly gui :)
