OpenManage server login?

Hi everybody,

I'm running OM3.8 on a Windows box that serves for a small Linux cluster that all have OM3.8 as well.

Everytime I try to login to one of my servers with my known and correct root login/password it just doesn't login.

I've tried all the suggestions that I have come across in the threads here and nothing seems to work.

Please help us, thanks in advance,

LaRue

The correct login for Server Administrator is your operating system authentication.  Is your Windows platform running Server Administrator?  Are you able to log into it?  When you log into Server Administrator on a Linux platform any Linux user id/password should work.  Are any of the servers running X?  Are you able to log in locally using an X session?

If you have additional questions, please provide a service tag for one of the Linux systems and the method used for installation.  Also, check to make sure the OpenManage services are running by typing service omawsd status.

Thanks for using Dell Community Forums!
